Thank you for your interest in becoming a LumaPix reseller!

Here is some background on how FotoFusion licensing works:

  • FotoFusion is licensed online. All that needs to happen for a user to be able to work with FotoFusion is for that user's ID to be added to our database. A boxed copy of FotoFusion includes a serial number, which was added to our database when the CD was created; online customers have their email ID's added to our database at the time of purchase.
  • Online Resellers have access to our online licensing tool, which allows them to add user ID's to the database directly, and track how many licenses have been sold. Adding a user ID to the database unlocks their software - it represents a sale.

Here are the four ways that you can get involved selling FotoFusion:

OnLine Resellers
Traditional

:: PrePaid Online Licenses

How it works:

  1. Reseller purchases blocks of 'activation credits' at a discount
  2. Reseller sells FotoFusion to end users (by collecting email IDs and payments)
  3. Reseller activates those email IDs via LumaPix's web-based licensing tool.
  4. Customer downloads FotoFusion, or installs from a CD created by the reseller
  5. Customer activates their copy of FotoFusion using the email IDs they gave to the reseller
Advantages for reseller:
  • Simplest to track: activation credits bought with credit card
  • No physical inventory

  • Commission: 30% off MSRP
  • Min order: 10 units

:: Retail Boxed Copies

How it works:

  1. Retailer purchases physical boxes of FotoFusion at a discount.
  2. End users buys boxes from the retailer.
  3. End users activate themselves with a serial number in the package.
Advantages for retailer:
  • Easiest for customer to understand.
  • Retailer doesn't need to activate users.

::Pay-As-You-Go Online Licenses

How it works:

  • Same as pre-paid, except that the reseller activates end users "on credit" - LumaPix invoices for the activations *after* the sale is made to the customer.
Advantages for reseller:
  • No up-front investment
  • No physical inventory
Disadvantages:
  • Lower commission
  • Some paperwork to track

Details:

  • Commission: 22% off MSRP
  • Offered to trusted resellers

 

:: Web Referrals

How it works:

  1. Site links to FotoFusion free trial.
  2. Customer installs free trial
  3. Customer purchases from the LumaPix web site.
  4. Customer activates FotoFusion.
  5. LumaPix pays a commission to the site.
Advantages for site:
  • Easiest setup
  • No up-front investment.
  • Users activate themselves
Disadvantages:
  • Lowest commission.
  • Lower sell-through ratio than if customers purchase from the site.

  • Commission: 15% of MSRP
